Multi-Factor Authentication Replace Digital Certification and PIN Requirements for Signing GSA Mass Modifications

The General Services Administration (GSA) announced the elimination of the digital certification requirement for mass modifications, which will be replaced with multi-factor authentication (MFA). This change will begin on August 8, 2020. The multi-factor authentication only affects the Mass Mod portal and does not affect the digital certification requirement for the eOffer/eMod application overall.

The GSA Mass Mod portal will move to a two-step, multi-factor authentication (MFA) process, eliminating the digital certification requirement. This change aligns with GSA’s overall IT modernization efforts to build and maintain a more modern and secure infrastructure for its IT systems. Please see this document for instructions on how to register. If you have any questions please contact The Gormley Group.
