Tip of the Month – April 2025: GSA’s Focus on Contract Compliance

Apr 4, 2025

GSA is improving operations, reducing waste to deliver better outcomes for taxpayers. As part of this effort, GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) has launched an initiative to Rightsize the Multiple Awards Schedule Program.

Some of the key areas of this effort that most impact GSA Schedule holders include:

  • Allowing MAS contracts that do not meet the sales thresholds in FSS Clause I-FSS-639, Contract Sales Criteria, to expire.
  • Addressing MAS contractor non-compliance, including performance concerns, which will help ensure that only productive and compliant contracts remain in the program.

This GSA announcement emphasized the importance of being compliant which is essential in maintaining your GSA Schedule contract.  As addressed above to remain compliant with the contract terms this also includes on-time reporting of sales, meeting GSA scorecard goals, compliance with the Price Reductions Clause and everything that goes along with holding a GSA Schedule contract.
