As of October 1, 2025, the US Federal Government has shut down. However, Government activities that are not funded through Congressional appropriations are operating normally. The GSA Federal Acquisition Service that manages the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) program is funded through the Industrial Funding Fee (IFF) and will remain open.
Contractors should treat their interactions with GSA including offers and modifications as “business as usual.” MAS contracting officers will continue to award new contracts, approve modifications, review FCP submissions, and extend contracts. The Gormley Group (TGG) and your TGG consultant are available to answer any Federal shutdown questions that you may have. Should the current status of MAS operations change, our team will keep you posted.
Below we have compiled a list of resources to help you better understand any actions that should be taken during the shutdown related to your GSA Schedule task and delivery orders. Note that although the MAS program is open individual MAS task orders with other Federal agencies may be impacted and the below resources will address topics to consider with your Federal customers during the shutdown.
