The General Services Administration (GSA) announced the elimination of the digital certification requirement for mass modifications, which will be replaced with multi-factor authentication (MFA). This change will begin on August 8, 2020. The multi-factor authentication only affects the Mass Mod portal and does not affect the digital certification requirement for the eOffer/eMod application overall.
The GSA Mass Mod portal will move to a two-step, multi-factor authentication (MFA) process, eliminating the digital certification requirement. This change aligns with GSA’s overall IT modernization efforts to build and maintain a more modern and secure infrastructure for its IT systems.
