The GSA town hall conducted January 23, 2025 was the second in GSA’s series of trainings on services in FCP. Note FCP is the new GSA system replacing the current SIP program to add GSA text files and products to GSA Advantage.
For vendors already in FCP, the services functionality will go live on January 28th. For vendors not already in FCP, services vendors will begin onboarding in February.
A few key takeaways from today’s meeting:
- GSA confirmed that the FCP baseline for products and services are two separate actions. That means that, for vendors with both products and services who have not yet transitioned into FCP, they will need to complete two separate baseline modifications in order to transition into FCP.
- The Services Plus File has a 150K line item limitation. If need more than 150K lines (e.g. vendors with highly configurable product), GSA advised that you coordinate with your CO who will need to get special approval before you can submit.
- Unlike with products, GSA does not have the ability to prepopulate the Services Plus File for vendors. So, vendors with services will have to manually put together their Services Plus File.
- For services only, GSA created a new error type called “Warnings.” Vendors have two options: 1) proceed with the warning unchanged or 2) address the warning. For instance, if your GSA price exceeds the MFC price, you have the ability to proceed with the price unaltered after the system initially flags the line item.
- GSA will be publishing a new Managing Services Catalog in FCP resource next week.
