Removal of “Best Procurement Approach Determination” for Interagency Contracts – In late September, the Civilian Agency Acquisition Council (CAAC) issued a class deviation that provides agencies with the authority to issue class deviations to remove the best procurement approach determination requirement when using an interagency acquisition vehicle. The CAAC’s class deviation implements Section 875 of the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) pending rulemaking from the FAR Council that would formally incorporate the change.
