Starting Sunday, December 19, 2021 GSA began issuing Refresh #9 for the Schedule Solicitation in December 2021. The mass modification is identified as #839 and is being emailed out to all GSA Schedule holders. As part of the Refresh, GSA will be updating its Cloud SIN (518210C) to provide greater clarity between cloud computing and cloud related IT professional services. Specifically, GSA will be updating the SIN description to clarify that product offerings available through the SIN must be NIST compliant.
Here are a summary of changes to the Cloud SIN 518201C:
- Revise SIN title from “Cloud and Cloud Related IT Professional Services” to “Cloud Computing and Cloud Related IT Professional Services”.
- Add more clarity for invoicing requirements for both cloud computing services and cloud related IT professional services to ensure all offerings are billed in arrears, in accordance with 31 U.S.C. 3324.
- Revise the SIN instructions to include that cloud “token”, “gift card”, “credit”, or other similar types of prepaid offerings are out of scope for the SIN.
- Add more clarity between cloud computing and cloud related IT professional services.
In addition, GSA will remove existing Cloud offerings including prepaid cloud offerings such as “token,” “gift card,” or “credit.” During a recent webinar, GSA indicated that it will be taking proactive measures to remove prepaid cloud offerings from the Schedule.
