GSA Schedule Contract Option Renewal and Extension Services
Our experienced GSA consulting team manages the requirements necessary to secure your GSA contract option renewal or new GSA Streamlined award prior to your contract’s ultimate end date. The GSA Schedule contract is awarded as a five-year base period with three five-year option renewals, each of which must be negotiated with GSA. During the option to renew negotiation GSA will typically look at contract offerings, pricing and contractor compliance efforts within the prior five-year contract period. We will help you walk through the process to extend your contract and ensure a complete and compliant modification is submitted to help ensure another five-year option is granted. This includes guidance and/or hands-on negotiation assistance directly with GSA.
For contractors reaching the end of the full twenty-year contract period and ultimate end date a new GSA Streamlined offer must be submitted and awarded. The key is to submit the GSA Streamlined offer in enough time to have the new contract awarded prior to ultimate end date so there is no lapse in GSA Schedule contract coverage. In order to submit a GSA Streamlined offer your company must be considered “successful MAS contractor” by GSA. GSA defines a successful MAS contractor as one that:
- Is proposing the same Special Item Numbers (SINs) as those awarded under its existing contract
- Has met the minimum sales requirements under its existing contract
- Has a demonstrated pattern of satisfactory past performance under its existing contract
